Coach Flippo is entering his 3rd season as the Head Football Coach of the Liberty Middle School Lions in Madison, Alabama. He has spent the last 23 years as an Offensive Coordinator or QB Coach with 7 of those years being at the college level. In his 16 seasons spent at the high school level he has had 9 scholarship QB's. 


Coach Flippo is a native of Lawrenceburg, TN where he played his high school football at Lawrence County High School for legendary coaches Jerry Adams and Bill Derrick. 

His latest project, in addition to being a coach is starting Quick6 7v7 Football. It has been a goal of his for a long time to operate and coach a 7v7 team. This year, Quick6 gets off the ground with the intent to play 4 tournaments. 


He is married to the former Kari Brown Cochran  Kari is from Marble Falls, Texas. Between them they enjoy four kids, Lauryn, Gardner, Gray and Anderson.

Rip Flippo has 37 years experience as a QB and QB coach. Through these years he was an all state QB for Lawrence County High in Lawrenceburg. He signed a scholarship to play for Tennessee Tech University before continuing his career in the European Football League. 



Coach Flippo is currently married to Kari Flippo, a high school administrator. He has 2 boys, Gardner and Anderson, and 2 step children, Lauren and Gray, who are all active in athletics.
